melon case

i found some adhesive vinyl at the art store after the summer class was over...oh my. Naturally, i put stickers on everything i could think of and this is the result. i wanted to do graphics on my helmet and bike anyways, and this was the simplest way...
so i takes the xacto knife, and traces the printout i laid over top the vinyl. i secured my template with some tape, and used a drawing board as a cutting mat.
after removing all of the negative pieces, i was left with only the pieces i wanted on the helmet. i left it on the backing for the mean time, until i get the transfer.
at this point ive cleaned the helmet surface so the vinyl adheres properly. ive also used a piece of frisket as a transfer and have removed the vinyl from the backer. now the adhesive side is exposed and ready to be placed on the helmet.

now it just needs to snow...

tiny little baby motor...

this is the teeny little motor i fabricated. its an air powered twin wobbler, machined from plastics. this is the prototype which will be followed by a much fancier version.
